I built a church once.

Me and this other guy.  Top to bottom.  Sure, I needed the money, but I also got the need to build a church out of my system.  Why would I want to do that?  Why did I learn to sew?  Why can I vanish coins into thin air?

Because I have to.  I wouldn't say I'm bored all the time, but bored is just around the corner.  At least, it feels that way.  I have to learn.  It's like an addiction.  There is this infinite loop of learning, gaining some level of skill, dropping it all for the next pursuit, and doing it all over again with something else.

Does that describe you?  Good news!  It's a real thing that apparently has a name: multipotentialism.  That would make you a multipotentialite.  That may just be a buzz word.  You've probably heard "jack of all trades, master of none."  That's probably more familiar.  Personally I prefer "The Jackie Chan of Learning Shit."  Cynthia says I can't curse, so other alternatives are

 At some point in my history I developed a need to learn to budget.  As with all my other interests, the fire has died down, but the lesson has remained.  We aren't rich.  Yet, we have this bug to develop new skills.  Finding a balance is difficult, but we are working on it, and hopefully we can share some of those passions (and how to do it on the cheap) with each other.

So, who are we?

Well, obviously we are multipotentialites.  Artists, musicians, business people, entrepreneurs, jugglers, magicians, parents.

We live in a moderate sized college town with a love of the weird.  Think Austin, Texas, but crummier buses.  In this town is a business known for its ever-rotating cast of employees.  That's where we met.  It started normal enough.  Cynthia was in some nebulous boss-like roll, I was the new guy.  I say nebulous because that's the nature of this business.  From the "new guy" perspective, there are only two jobs there, new guy and management.  But I digress.  After some time in our respective rolls, we became single (in our own relationships), we became friends, then Cynthia up and left for a new job.  Seeing as the taboo was now lifted, I swooped in, showed her some magic tricks, and the rest is history.  History in this case means we started dating.  Also, there are plot holes and inaccuracies to this story, but those won't be addressed until we retcon some plots and rerelease it as a special edition box set.
